    It's fun, it's cheap and it takes up little space. It's take a little longer to master the basics than running but a lot less time than swimming. When I was 18 I bought a rope just before the Christmas break. Practised 5 minutes a day in my mom's kitchen. By the end of the holiday I could skip. and my family were happy to see the back of me

    The rope is very portable. It means if your on teh road for work your hotel gym is immediately improved. It works well home brew CF style workout's. It improves hand/eye coordination. It's provides continual challenge with new moves to master thus staving of the boredom inherent in most types of CV work. You can also use the rope for stretching, a free added benefit.

    That said while the additional moves are fun 80% of the benefit is to be had from the basic step. I know a number of boxers whose coaches wouldn't allow them to "waste" time on crossovers etc.

    I just got my Buddy Lee rope a few weeks ago, and its a must for warm up now for me, fun and effective. Plus my double unders are getting better which = cool ha!!
