Fitness and Exercise ropes are typically made from large diameter rope, have a longer length, on the heavier side, and really provide a get cardio and endurance type workout. We custom assemble a large selection of fitness and exercise rope in diameters typically from 1-0”, 1-1/4”, 1-1/2”, and 2-0” in lengths usually up to 100 ft. However we also offer custom diameters and lengths to meet your custom specifications. All of our fitness and exercise ropes come standard with heavy-duty black vinyl heat-shrink fit handles along with other options of your choice including chafe protection and hardware. Our handles also have an extra adhesive and stitch-ing between the vinyl and rope in order to ensure the handles will stay on there.
When an athlete jumps with the HeavyRope jump rope they want to let their arms flow out away from their body, allowing for a circular motion. The Heavy Jump Rope was a tool of mine that I used when I was at McNicholas High School (Class of ’85) in Cincinnati Ohio. Jumping rope builds endurance, foot skills, co-ordination and upper body strength. The best part about the Heavy Rope is that it will work out your entire body gaining not you’re your cardiovascular and upper body strength. The Original Heavy Rope is available in 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 lbs versions. Comes with a suggested training program, but I just started with a digital clock and just jumped for as long as I could to gradually build up my endurance, arm and shoulder strength. The circular weighted motion of jumping adds conditioning the shoulder girdle, but be careful of hitting your Shins with the 5 or 6 lbs rope. Jumping rope with the progressive weight adds a circuit like resistance to just the basic jumping rope for cardiovascular Fitness.
