  • The is a jump rope without the rope. So basically it's the most useless invention ever. It's supposed to let people jump rope even if they don't have the coordination or fitness level required to do so, but that completely eliminates the point of jump rope. Anybody can stand around and jump, it's the rope that trains coordination. They might as well be trying to market two sticks and an instruction manual. Which, sadly, most lazy people would probably buy.

  • Time: 1 minute and 30 seconds

    Works:

Stand with your legs slightly bent, your arms bent, and your hands out to your sides. Begin jumping, leaving only a few inches between your feet and the floor as you hop. At the same time, rotate your shoulders and arms as if you are jumping rope without the rope. Continue for 1 minute and 30 seconds, then move directly to Squats.

Beginning jumpers will find a range of beaded ropes, vinyl jump ropes and speed jump ropes at We. More experienced jumpers would prefer a speed rope. The book Jump Rope Training, by former US Wrestling champion Buddy Lee, is the world’s best selling guide to jumping rope, and it offers workouts for a range of skill and fitness components including endurance, strength, power, agility, and balance. The Airope is comprised of a rope-less set of handles that lets you use jump rope action to work out, but without the hindrance of an actual rope. Finally, We offers several wall-mounted racks that can be used for belts, tubing or jump ropes. Whether for home use or a large fitness center, jumping rope with ropes from We adds variety and effective training to any workout.

i don't know if this question seems silly or not but i hope someone can give me some advice. i can't jump rope with a rope i trip over it almost every single jump and therefore am not getting any cardio benefits because my heart rate isn't getting up! i've seen references to jumping without the rope and was wondering if i would get the same results? i know its a good aerobic exercise and would like to get the benefits of having something extra in my routine.

  • Unlike a BLT without the bacon or a stripper without the boobies, a jump rope without the rope might actually be an improvement upon the original. First of all, a lot of people are good at jumping up and down (yes, I'm definitely talking to you, ) but their talents run dry when you throw a pair of handles and a vertically revolving cord into the mix. Call out some double jumps, high knees, or rotational movement of the hips, and any hope of achieving a cardiovascular workout devolves into 10 minutes of expletives and pouting before giving up altogether and plopping down on the couch to assuage frustrations with a marathon. With a digital cordless jump rope, there will be no more of that.

Wireless skipping does not occupy ..

Bonus Beginner Tip #2: Learn the wrist action first. Hold both handles in one hand. Keep them just a little higher than the waist. Do a rope swing on one side of your body. Listen for the rope to touch and add a hop every time the rope skims the floor. Do the same with the opposite hand. Basically you begin to jump rope without the rope going under your feet.
