JumpRopeSprint racing is a sport that is still in the early stages of development which is already at a ready-for-action level. It is a sport only discovered in 2010 and involves sprinting while jumping rope once per stride.
Like most sport enthusiasts who invent a new sport, the three men who came up with JumpRopeSprint, Patent Lawyer Mark Krull together with his two partners, Stephen Ihli and Eric Small, they want the sport to be added to the Olympic Games, particularly after the 2016 Summer Olympics which will be held in Brazil.
JumpRopeSprint racing involves sprinting while jumping rope once per stride. The practice of this activity improves running technique, total body coordination, and aerobic capacity. Mastering this skill teaches an athlete to remain calm and maintain proper alignment while performing under stressful circumstances.
Basically, JumpRopeSprint training leads to a higher level of coordination. In juggling for example, a person develops the ability to monitor the positions of the balls without focusing on any one ball. Similarly, sprinting while jumping rope compels a person to focus on timing rather than each spin of the rope. Consequently, athletes learn to get into sync and stay in a zone. Thus, running with a jump rope encourages sound running fundamentals. A person who runs with heel strikes is more likely to tangle with the rope, just as a person who excessively back kicks. On the other hand, JumpRopeSprint training fosters proper lateral alignment and overall balance while maintaining a forward lean. These imposed efficiencies lead to good technique for any runner at any speed.
Stair Sprint and Jump Rope
This involves running up and down a staircase and then jumping rope. The intensity of the exercise is very high and it can easily burn a lot of fat in just a matter of minutes. Start off by sprinting up and down 3-5 sets of stairs for about 1-2 minutes and then jump rope for about 2-3 minutes at a super high intensity level. Rest for a few minutes and then repeat the exercise. Increase the number of steps and the duration of the jump rope. As with the suicide drill, this form of exercise is very effective for fat burning and getting your heart pumping!
