  • Hello there, my name is Jay Jones, celebrity peak performance coach and fitness minister and today we're going to talk about how to cut a UFC jump rope. Hey, jump ropes are one of my favorite form of cardio conditioning exercises. I think this is the ultimate fitness machine right here, very simple, very effective, very portable and very cost effective but one of the things you need to do when you get your jump rope is going to come very long, 12 to 14 feet most of the time, very long rope so what you want to do is cut it to your height. The first thing you want to do is you want to measure your height by putting the rope right between your foot and then pulling the rope up so the handles are just right around chest height, right above, right up into the underarms, alright. Now the rope won't come this way but this is what you'll do. Most adjustable ropes have a handle. You're going to unscrew it, a UFC rope is just like any other jump rope except possibly there will be weights on the end. So you're going to take the weights out and you'll notice there is something here that you can cut the rope. You'll use a knife, a pair of pliers or something very sharp to just slice it right off. There's an attachment that goes right at the end, you put that attachment back on and here's a catch that won't allow the rope to go through and still allow it to swing as you exercise. So once your rope is cut, you reassemble the pieces, drop it back in, you place your parts and your weights back into the handle and last but not least you tighten the cap back onto the handle. And now, you're ready to rock and roll. You grab both handles and you put your simple machine to work. My name is Jay Jones, celebrity peak performance fitness coach and fitness minister and that is how you cut a UFC jump rope.
